On the south-eastern side of the Island of Losinj is placed a small fishing town named Veli Losinj. At the bottom of the hill St. Ivan, from which spreads an unbelievable panoramic view, is located a bay Rovenska. It is recognizable for its 200m long breakwater, on which are tied up boats of local fisherme.

You can find here a beautiful pebbly beach with a little scary name, Barakunda. The beach is gravel and has a simple entrance to the sea. Above the beach is a dense shadow of Mediterranean trees, which provides plenty of shade. During the summer season here are held many different events and it is never boring. The Breakwater is an ideal place where are gathering jumpers and perform various jumps.

Near the beach you can find different shops, bars and restaurants, which make this an ideal place for all those who like comfort
